Wendy Barnhill
Executive Director
Wendy Barnhill has been with The Village at Southlake for 15 years. She started her role as the business manager and worked her way to the executive director position. She loves caring for and spending time with her residents.
In her free time, Wendy enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.
Mary Staberg

Girard Staley
Culinary Services Director
Girard Staley has more than six years of experience in senior living. He began as an assistant director of Dining and worked his way up to Culinary Services director. He started at the Village at Southlake in 2021 and is a chef who loves food and providing a great dining experience for residents. Girard has roots in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Columbia, S.C.
In his free time, he enjoys physical activity, concerts and traveling. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends. He has been married to his wife, Erica, for 10 years, and they have two sons.
John Lybrand
Community Relations Director
John Lybrand is a Columbia native with a hospitality industry background and more than eight years of experience in senior living. He started his senior living sales and marketing career in an assisted living community and transitioned into independent living three years ago with The Village at Southlake. He enjoys meeting new people and especially helping seniors. John is dedicated to his family, his career, and making sure his residents are happy and living their best lives.
His interests are spending time with his family, music and travel.
